Mike Littwin
I have been a Denver columnist since 1997, working at the Rocky Mountain News, Denver Post, Colorado Independent and now The Colorado Sun. I write about all things Colorado, from news to sports to popular culture, as well as local and national politics.
I come from a newspaper family — my father was a reporter — got my first byline when I was 16 and have been hooked ever since. My first job was as a sportswriter for two Virginia papers, covering Dr. J and the old American Basketball Association. I moved to the Los Angeles Times as a sports and then news feature writer, then to the Baltimore Sun before moving to Denver to become part of one of the nation’s last, great newspaper wars. I have been a columnist since 1984.
Job title: Opinion columnist
Topic expertise: In my 50-plus-year journalism career, I’ve been a sportswriter, sports columnist, national correspondent, news columnist, features columnist and op-ed columnist. Simpson.
